PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Henne Hardware is a notable landmark in New Braunfels, constructed in 1893. Originally selling hardware, appliances, & wagon business. The property was designated as a recorded Texas historic landmark in 1973 serving as the longest running hardware store in Texas. Sunbelt started the historical restoration in 2025 targeting the exterior restoration to enhance durability while preserving the building’s character. Scope included below-grade waterproofing, air barriers, flashing, trim and durable coatings to improve protection and performance. A major highlight was the large-scale window restoration, carefully executed to maintain the building’s historic appearance while upgrading functionality. These improvements support long-term performance while protecting the building’s legacy.
