Continental Gin
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Continental Gin Building is a true icon of Dallas, and the cornerstone of which Deep Ellum’s history was built. The Gin, built in 1888 was once the largest cotton processing equipment manufacturing operation in the United States. The re-opening of the building provided creative lounge spaces, shared conference rooms, outdoor patio areas, state of the art VR-Lab, coworking, and retail space. The restoration of this historical building included repointing exterior and interior masonry, replacing damaged masonry, remove exterior cementitious coating, cleaning and sealing the exterior masonry, replacing exterior sealants, and replacing existing windows with historical replica windows. This building holds a big part of history in Deep Ellum, and feel honored to work on such a project.
