Responsibilities

• Assist estimators in reviewing project drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

• Perform quantity take-offs, material counts, and preliminary pricing under supervision.

• Help prepare detailed proposals, bid forms, and scope clarifications.

• Review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project reviews.

• Learn to evaluate product compatibility and warranty requirements for roofing systems.

• Support the transition from estimating to project execution by assisting in handoff meetings with Project Managers.

• Maintain accurate documentation and support estimating databases.

• Gain exposure to Sunbelt’s commercial roofing projects and service areas.

Skills/Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

• Strong analytical and math skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (training provided).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); exposure to Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or other estimating software a plus.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong problem-solving mindset.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Must be able to pass a background check.

• Ability to safely visit job sites (safety equipment provided).

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

• Professional, reliable, and ethical behavior.
